Sarah Martin
PT, DPT, PhD
Sarah Martin graduated with a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from the University of Kentucky in 2008. She then returned to University of Kentucky to pursue an education in Physical Therapy, graduating in 2014 with her doctorate in Physical Therapy. Dr. Martin’s reason for going back to school after her PhD was her realization of the power of strength and conditioning for wellness and pain relief. As a hobby she was studying and taking courses on the impact of optimal movement patterns for strength training and athletic performance. During this time she realized that she could put her knowledge of the nervous system together with a PT education to provide a unique and optimized treatment approach. Since then she has spent the last decade developing and improving a multisystem approach to treatment, where she uses biomechanics, neurology, breathing, and manual therapy together to successfully treat her clients.
Dr. Martin has an extensive background in proper strength training techniques and has experience treating all levels of athletes, from those who want to get stronger for wellness, to collegiate and professional athletes. She especially enjoys helping adults who want to stay competitive and continue improving at a recreational level for wellness and self growth.
